Well yesterday we had to go into M&Ms to get some chicken. Now M&Ms is run by a family my family knows so when Miss Am said hi dog has to stay out said I was able to tell her calmly. Indy's a service dog and can go anywhere I go except operating rooms and restaurant kitchens. And then I showed her the card our trainer gave us with the provincial law on it. so we handled our first Access Challenge with out tears a panic attack or a meltdown. I was so proud of myself! and of him.
Yesterday we also had our first day of doggy school which we are doing to socialise him and give me confidence and we lasted the whole hour. He wasn't sure about the other dogs but that might have been because I was so nervous. but on the whole we did well.

ReplyDeleteI'm just very lucky it was a family friend or else it may have been meltdown city. that little card that the trainer gave me with the law on it is wonderfull I don't go anywhere without it.
